About me

"I have been a proud resident within the Macedon area for 15 years, along with my husband Paul and daughter Alexis. I was born and grew up on the Shankill Road and have great pride in my working-class roots and have found my family home in the Rathcoole estate. I have a deep love for my heritage and culture.

Upon finishing primary school, I was educated just down the road at Belfast High School. Following my A level studies I took up a management position within a local fast-food restaurant. I am now a community development manager within the same chain which has allowed me to engage and support local community groups, football teams and other businesses as well as various charity work having volunteered for the children’s hospice and Darkness into Light.

I'm a loving mother of a child with ASD who attends a local primary school and with that I understand the struggles parents face with diagnoses and waiting lists for treatment. These frustrations along with budget cuts is something really close to my heart.

Outside of my personal life, work life and my passion for politics, my focus and drive are to help others have a better quality of life and to help elevate them to success. I’m blessed to be a member of groups and partnerships that allow me to do this daily. I am an active member of a local voluntary group, the RATH Community Group. We engage and try to work with all sections within the local area, including other community groups, bonfire groups, churches, marching bands, sports teams and the wider community in general. I am also a committee member of the local Row on Row project. It is a community project currently on going to recognise those men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom during the world wars. I’m also a member of RECAP, which is a partnership of local community representives, committed to positive change in the local area.

I am driven by my passion to help and strive to work hard in my efforts to build a better future for our community. There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about. Let me - help you

Many thanks for taking the time to get to know me. This May, as your neighbour and as your possible champion, i am seeking your first preference vote and please vote all Unionists down the card."
